Link your Card

Get started by linking your Card.

Log into your account with PayPal.

2.

Click Wallet, then click Link a Card and enter the details of your American Express Card.

3.

Click Link Card.

Once linked, you'll see your available American Express Membership Rewards® points balance and an option to use those points for eligible purchases when you check out with PayPal.1

If your eligible American Express Card is already linked, then you are all set to start enjoying using American Express Membership Rewards® when you check out with PayPal!

  • If you change your mind, click Details on your Card page, then click Stop Using Points with PayPal, and then click Stop Using Points.

  • To enable you to pay with points at checkout with PayPal, Amex will share information with PayPal about you, such as details about your Card and your points balance.

    Please note if you do not want Amex to share your details with PayPal, you will have to de-link your Membership Rewards points from your PayPal wallet.

    Once you de-link your Membership Rewards points, you will not be able to pay with points at checkout when using PayPal. To review American Express’ online Privacy Policy Statement and information on data sharing, please click here.
