How do I use the Terminal built-in barcode scanner?

The Terminal comes in two versions, one with a built-in barcode scanner and one without. If you use an external barcode scanner, read about compatible barcode scanners in our Accessories article.

Press the purple button on the right-hand side of your Terminal to activate the scanner. Aim the scanner at a barcode until it beeps and registers the product on the screen.

Use the built-in barcode scanner to:

• Add products to your library
• Manage your product inventory
• Update the stock of multiple products
• Sell and redeem gift cards
• It also reads both EAN and QR codes

The barcode scanner on my Terminal isn’t working:

Make sure you’ve turned on the barcode scanner by pressing the purple button on the right-hand side of the Terminal. You should see a light beam on top of the Terminal.
