Why am I getting shipping label purchase errors?

Purchasing labels in the PayPal Shipping Center is efficient, but sometimes, you may encounter an error. Below are common errors and solutions you can try to get your labels printed.
If you receive the error message: Failure to connect to USPS
It means the account cannot be onboarded with ShipEngine because of a technical error, such as failure to create a ShipEngine wallet connection or onboard to USPS.
Try again later. The connection will be retried automatically in the background.
If you receive the error message: Disconnected from UPS
The ShipEngine carrier connection to UPS is disconnected, so it prevents you from getting UPS rates.
Navigate to ‘Shipping Preferences’ and retry specific carrier connection from the ‘Carrier Connection’ table by clicking the appropriate available selection.
If you receive the error message: Disconnected from DHL
The ShipEngine carrier connection to DHL is disconnected, so it prevents you from getting DHL rates.
Navigate to ‘Shipping Preferences’ and retry specific carrier connection from the ‘Carrier Connection’ table by clicking the appropriate available selection.
If you receive the error message: No funding options available
You do not have a funding option available to use for purchase in the PayPal wallet when you're attempting to purchase a shipping label.
Leave the label purchase flow and navigate to your Account Settings to add a new payment method, then return to purchase your label.
If you receive the error message: Insufficient funds
You have funding options available, but none of the available funding options have sufficient funds to complete the purchase.
Add additional funds to the existing payment methods or add a new payment method to the PayPal wallet.
If you receive the error message: Purchase failed
Label purchase failed to complete due to several reasons:
- Purchase could not go through with selected funding instrument
- General payment failure
- Technical error during purchase
Try again, select a different payment method, and try again to complete the purchase. If the error message persists, come back later and try again.
If you receive the error message: Carrier connection could not be established
There is a technical error causing a failure to reconnect the user to their disconnected carrier (UPS, DHL.)
Try again later to reconnect. Connection will be retried automatically in the background.
